Sorry for not really being around, life has gotten in the way.
But, new part time business, new job, and a now a new house. Not much left that can get in there :)
So, I'm back around... hopefully. Will be trying to catch up on everything.

That was a lot of spam :(
Got all of it I hope.
Anyways next Casino release is back in development. It's a pretty major overhaul to fix all the things that I don't like and get it a little more portable for integration with other software.
As well as make it a little "prettier" and possibly add some sound effects, something to alert players it is there turn in the multiplayer stuff for example.
It is also being redone in flash, still will be fairly tamper proof as it will still do all the processing on the back end, just use flash for display and interface (same idea as now)
Why? just to get things a little nicer looking, and for games flash does seem like a better platform then HTML / CSS.
Anyways, thats where things are right now.

That's awesome news...thanks Andrew! :D
Any ETA on the new version by the way?? :)
That was a lot of spam
You should install one of the "stop spam" hacks, upgrade to 3.7.2 or at least turn on Admin verification of new accounts
That should help a bit... ;)

It's coming, but I'm not going to try and stick a date on it. Lots of stuff is being rewritten and it is getting a complete face lift. The front end is being completely redone with Flash, which gets around some of the limitations of AJAX when looking at developing games. The backend is being reworked to fit the new front end, as well as to make the system more portable. It will have it's own language files, and wrappers on all the vb specific functions (ie database calls) so that in theory it should become easy to integrate with just about any software that tracks users. This will also make it less vulnerable to issues with conflicting with other mods and changes to the vbulletin code base.
I'll try to get a demo up fairly quickly as too what the end result will look like.

Hi Andrew!!very nice piece o work you have created here..from what I have read here you have a new update commin out and I'd love to put it on our site ..we have 60,000 + members and power to handle many more and this would be great for an extra boost..:D...I know you don't want to be locked in to an ETA on the new version but can I get a status report? we have invested quit a bit into our site and would love to have a casino that is stable enough to use without too many complications/glitches (I have read the bugs posts and don't see too many problems now:):))...so can I get a status???:D
Any updates on this one?
Is it still under development, or has this great mod been abandoned?? :(

yes, it is still being developed, it just had a bit of a break over the summer due to other things coming up.
This will be a pretty major overhaul of, well, everything. The goal is to eliminate the issues that arose in the first version, especially in multiplayer games, make it look better, add some basic audio notifiactions, and break away from being deeply integrated with VB's AJAX libraries.
New version is flash based, all of the games existing in a single flash module. It will also be a lot more portable, so integrating with other software should be much easier.
I have quite a few other new things I want to do, but I'm going to hold of on posting them until I am sure which ones will get done :)

@Andrew: perhaps you could publish the moduls that have been finished yet?
I'm very glad to hear that Andrew! :D
You should also considered to make a paid "pro" version of it as well, with more features for the Poker game. I certainly wouldn't mind paying to continue support and development of such a great mod!

A paid pro version is a great idea!
Still no updates? :o
Please try at least to get the new poker room out, that's the most important and by far most popular part of this entire mod IMO..

It's going to be a all at once thing, everything is getting redone. Rewritten in Flex (no more AJAX) and made a little more portable.
However real life issues take priority as they pay the bills... But it is progressing in spurts.
Goody goody.. :)

I'm pretty sure this mod could pay a few bills as well if you decide to make a paid "pro" version of it. I certainly wouldn't mind spending a few $$ for a great mod like this.. ;)
i would also like to have a paid version of this it will well be worth it - i also wouldnt mind funding the development of this and turning this into a paid version as well.

I really appreciate the support, it's been a interesting couple of months...
New house, new job, fire at my martial arts school... well, the space bellow me, but still forced us to do a lot of cleaning and relocation.
I'll try to have a demo up here in the next week or two, things are looking pretty good, but it's got a little ways to go. I've also decided to go outside the casino games a little, and combine this with what was going to be a separate product and add a few board games into the mix.
I have most of the code for a chess game, the backend stuff is mostly there, just needs a frontend so that's one, a few others in mind but I'll wait until I'm sure exactly what is going in before naming any off.

So how's it coming along... :)
Andrew Green

It's coming.
Chess game is finished for the most part, need to do some more testing, but everything seems good so far.
Board game features:
- unranked / ranked (elo system) games
- customizable time control
- none
- Blitz
- Standard
- Increment
- optional Password on games
Those things will all carry over to other 1-on-1 strategy games. But Chess is the start.

Pretty much everything is "done" from a functional point of view, still have some testing (and probably a few bugs to work out as a result) to do, but everything it is supposed to do, it does.
Still have a few help files too work in, a few alert sounds to add in, so things are coming.
There are other things / games I plan on adding, but they will be a later release.
It's very good to see that this great projects hasn't been abandoned!! :D
